Equitable Hiring Practices Workshop
Racial equity is more than human resources. At the same time, we cannot build anti-racist institutions unless we examine our hiring practices and employment systems.
In this series, participants will build on a basic and shared understanding of bias to assess organizational systems for areas of susceptibility to bias, the presence of inequities built into our seemingly neutral systems, and gain tools that support the practical implementation of equitable hiring practices.
Enrich Chicago offers three sessions, each with a focus on a specific facet of hiring:
Process Audit/Assessment & Recruitment
Job Descriptions
Review of Applications
The goals of this workshop series are to:
Identify the conditions in hiring systems that result in bias;
Identify and design tactics that can disrupt or reduce implicit bias endemic in our institutions, and;
Review leading practices in equitable hiring.
