Anti-Racist Assessment & Action Planning - February 29th, 2024- In-Person
Anti-Racist Assessment & Action Planning - February 29th, 2024- In-Person
Racism is present in our institutions. The structures and practices within our arts and culture organizations reproduce and sustain oppressive ideologies and racist policies. At the same time, every individual can be an agent of change from where they sit within their organization. Utilizing popular education methods and the tenets of emergent learning, participants in this session will be guided through an assessment process that will support their evaluation of multiple dimensions of institutional life. Through this assessment, they will identify areas of inequity and actionable strategies for formative changes to policy and practice. They will also work to develop a set of time-bound emergent learning and change goals for their identified change area.
